Remember, life is a game that is never won or lost, only played.
Over the years, there have been great movies that teach us amazing things about life and life’s challenges.
Like many of you I am a parent, a husband, brother and I have a full-time career. At the same time, life is full of adversity and I have faced all sort of tough decisions in the endless balance. There are days I hope to just make it through the endless decisions I am faced with. It definitely is a crazy game!
I thought I would share a few of my favorite scenes to give a new perspective. Here is the 3rd installment of YouTube teachings. Enjoy !
YouTube Teaching. “You Already Writing Down Friday Night As A Loss?”
A great example of grit, determination and perseverance. When you are told you can’t do something and you prove that you can. It is amazing what you can accomplish when you are mentally focused and determined. My favorite quote is “I need you. God’s gifted you with the ability of leadership, don’t waste it.” Every athlete knows this feeling, but it’s true wherever you need strength in life. A great YouTube teaching.[/vc_column_text]

A great example of stepping up when the moment calls for it. Remember you may not be ready for it, but when you are put in moments of leadership it is up to you to be strong, in command and play your role. My favorite quote “… 12 brothers and sisters. I was the youngest one and they were all looking up to me. Now, I wasn’t ready yet either, but they needed me. Your team needs you tonight.” Confidence and poise is an amazing thing. Well done YouTube.
YouTube Teaching. “Hey. How Are You Doing? I Am Good Now.”
A great scene from Invincible with Mark Wahlberg. I love the moment of truth Dick Vermeil faces when making the decision on whether to keep Vince Papale. He may have not been the most talented player on the team, but he had heart. He was someone you can build around and change the culture of an organization. My favorite quote “I want you to hang on to that for a few more months. Welcome to the Eagles.” You have to love YouTube teachings!
YouTube Teaching. “There Is An Epidemic Failure Within The Game.”
A great scene from Moneyball with Brad Pitt. I love this moment as it really shows how organizations miss recognizing the opportunity to focus on what is really important, medieval thinking as rightfully says. My favorite quote is “People who run ball clubs think in terms of buying players. Your goal shouldn’t be to buy players, your goal should be to buy wins.” The lack of understanding of what is really important is an amazing lesson in business. This movie isn’t about baseball, its is about something far bigger. A great YouTube teaching!
YouTube Teaching. “…In 20 Years If You Are Still Living Here…I Will $%&#@!$ Kill You.”
A great YouTube teaching on friendship and taking the courage to tell a friend what they really need to hear. It takes courage to tell the truth no matter how hard it is. My favorite quote “Your sitting on a winning lottery ticket. Your too much of a #@$#@$ to cash it in. It will be an insult to us if you are still here.” It is great advice and important to recognize that the world is an amazing place. Everyone has a unique brilliance, but it takes courage, grit and leap of faith at times to got out and get it. A fair warning, there is foul language.
